A salon customer in South Dakota is going viral after claiming a worker added a tip to her bill without permission.

The woman says she had paid cash for facial waxing when staff tried to include a 15% gratuity.

“Got a facial waxing done & the lady tried adding a 15% tip without my consent,” she said in a TikTok that’s drawing hundreds of thousands of likes.

When asked why she added the tip, the worker said she selected, “the most popular option.”

Commenters are largely backed the customer, with one popular reply urging her to cancel the transaction and have it run again.

The salon and employee have not been publicly identified, and the account has not independently verified.
