Our Approach to AI

Panda Crypto News uses artificial intelligence tools to assist — not replace — human editorial work. We are transparent about this. This page explains precisely how AI is used in our workflow and what human oversight is applied at every step.

The AI-Assisted Workflow

Step 1: Source Monitoring

Our system continuously monitors RSS feeds from established cryptocurrency news sources — including CoinDesk, Cointelegraph, CryptoSlate and others. This is automated. No editorial judgement is applied at this stage; the system simply collects articles as they are published.

Step 2: Duplicate Detection

An automated duplicate-detection layer screens incoming articles against content already processed. This prevents publishing multiple articles about the same story. It uses a combination of URL fingerprinting, content similarity and title matching.

Step 3: AI-Assisted Drafting

For articles that pass duplicate detection, our AI pipeline:

1. Extracts key facts from the source article.
2. Validates those facts for internal consistency.
3. Generates an original article draft in English.
4. Produces an SEO title and meta description.
5. Generates an originality score to detect excessive similarity to the source.

AI models currently used in this pipeline include Google Gemini and fallback providers (Groq, OpenRouter). The specific model used is logged internally for each article.

Step 4: AI Image Generation

For most articles, an original image is generated using AI image tools (Google Gemini image generation, with Cloudflare Workers AI as fallback). These images are:

• Generated from a prompt based on the article topic.
• Stored locally on our servers.
• Not sourced from the originating publication.
• Never AI-generated images of real individuals without their consent.

Step 5: Human Editorial Review and Publication

This is the critical safeguard: no article is ever published automatically.

Every AI-generated draft is saved as a private draft in our content management system. A human editor must:

• Review the draft for accuracy, quality and editorial standards.
• Verify that the AI-generated content accurately reflects the primary source.
• Make any necessary edits or corrections.
• Explicitly click "Publish" in the admin interface.

This manual step cannot be bypassed by automated processes. Our codebase is hardcoded to produce drafts only; the publication step requires a human action.

What AI Does Not Do

• AI does not make publication decisions.
• AI does not determine editorial priorities.
• AI does not write opinion, analysis or commentary presented as editorial opinion.
• AI does not access confidential or non-public information.
• AI-generated content is never published without human review.

Labelling

Articles produced through our AI-assisted workflow are not currently individually labelled on the public page, as the entire publication is AI-assisted and this is disclosed at the publication level on this page and in our Editorial Policy. If our workflow changes to include non-AI-assisted articles, we will introduce per-article labelling to distinguish them.

Quality Standards

We do not use AI to produce low-quality, keyword-stuffed or misleading content. Our AI tools are configured with explicit editorial quality instructions. Articles that fail our automated originality or quality checks are not surfaced for publication.

Accountability

The final published article is the responsibility of the human editor who approved it, not of the AI tool that drafted it. Corrections are handled in accordance with our Corrections Policy.
