The Micron stock outlook is still bullish right now, and Wall Street has set a Micron stock price target of $1,500 to $1,600 ahead of fiscal Q4 earnings on September 30. MU closed at $1,053.98 on Monday and traded at $1,069.27 in pre-market at the time of writing. The average MU stock price target of $1,515 points to roughly 44% upside. After the Micron stock 2026 rally of about 269%, will MU stock go up even further? Analysts think it can, as long as AI demand and tight DRAM supply hold up.

Micron Stock in 2026: Price Targets, AI Demand And MU’s Next Move
The Micron stock outlook now comes down to whether AI memory demand keeps earnings high for longer than in past cycles. Shares slipped 2.61% on Monday after OpenAI paused training on some of its AI models, but 36 of the 49 analysts on StockAnalysis still rate Micron a Strong Buy.

Baird, Rosenblatt And TD Cowen Stay Bullish
Baird analyst Tristan Gerra raised his target to $1,520 from $1,280 on Monday and kept an Outperform rating. Baird’s new MU stock price target sits almost exactly on the consensus, and it implies about 44% upside from Monday’s close.
Gerra wrote:
“We are incrementally positive on Micron near- and medium term, owing to 1) the recent surge in agentic AI demand, notably driving CPU demand and which we expect will be ongoing next year; 2) a deceleration in [dynamic random access memory] supply bit growth outlook industrywide for 2027 versus this year; 3) a higher margin profile expected for [high bandwidth memory] next year.”
Rosenblatt’s Kevin Cassidy reiterated a Buy rating with a $1,500 Micron stock price target and expects another “beat-and-raise” on Wednesday. TD Cowen’s Krish Sankar holds a Buy rating with a $1,600 target. Both calls add weight to the Micron stock outlook.
Micron’s Own Guidance Backs The Bulls
Management has also given the bulls plenty to work with, and that feeds into the Micron stock outlook. For fiscal Q4, Micron guided revenue of $50 billion, plus or minus $1 billion, a gross margin of about 86% and earnings of $31 per share, plus or minus $1. Will MU stock go up once the results are out? That depends on beating those numbers.
Sanjay Mehrotra, Micron’s Chairman, President and CEO, stated:
“Micron’s record fiscal Q3 financial results and even stronger outlook for Q4 reflect the strategic value of memory in the AI era. Micron is investing at record levels in technology, products and supply to address our customers’ rapidly growing demand. We believe our multi-year Strategic Customer Agreements will significantly enhance the durability and predictability of Micron’s strong financial performance.”
A Rerating Could Lift The Micron Stock Outlook
MarketWatch reported that Sankar sees room for a “rerating” of Micron shares. At the time of his call, the stock traded at about 5.8 times forward earnings, and he argued the stock could justify a multiple closer to nine times. That wouldn’t need faster growth, only earnings that stay high for longer, and it’s the thinking behind his $1,600 MU stock price target. A higher multiple alone could brighten the Micron stock outlook.
The risks behind these Micron stock 2026 forecasts are real, too, such as faster supply additions, weaker HBM demand and falling memory prices.
So, will MU stock go up from here? Most analysts say yes, and right now the Micron stock outlook depends on whether September 30 proves that strong pricing and margins can last. If it does, the $1,500 to $1,600 Micron stock price target range looks realistic.
