Ripple’s cross-border token, which is perhaps one of the most popular crypto assets with a vast community behind it, finally received a dedicated account on X.
It almost feels unreal that more than a decade after its launch, XRP didn’t have an official account on the largest social media platform for the crypto industry. The celebratory posts and comments were quick to join the movement, led by Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse.
This one has been a long time coming… Welcome @XRP! https://t.co/UYRYIHDGGl

There’s only one post on the account as of press time, which reads “hello, world,” perhaps referencing the 52-year-old tradition that started with Brian Kernighan, who first used it in a Bell Laboratories internal memorandum for a programming language.
Although the post is just a few hours old, the attention has been quite impressive since the account already has over 47,000 followers.
Moreover, some of the comments below came from major accounts, such as Gemini, Uphold, Moonpay, Flare, and others. Naturally, prominent members of the XRP community, such as EGRAG CRYPTO and the XRP Ledger account, also welcomed the new Ripple member on X.
The establishment of an XRP-dedicated account follows a highly successful week for Ripple, in which it announced a few major partnerships and expanded its reach on Wall Street.
The same cannot be said about the native token itself, which has struggled to stage a notable recovery. XRP was rejected at $1.40 last week, and tumbled to $1.25 just days later, where it finally found support.
Popular analyst Ali Martinez, who also commented on the new account’s post, believes XRP’s successful rebound from that area means that it has bottomed out, especially since the network activity on the XRP Ledger skyrocketed at that price level.
