So, what changes for Chainlink after the CCIP 2.0 upgrade?
In April, attackers stole roughly $292 million from Kelp DAO’s LayerZero-based bridge, which relied on a single verifier. Kelp was not using Chainlink. However, the exploit exposed exactly the type of cross-chain weakness CCIP 2.0 now addresses.
Its new Cross-Chain Verifier, or CCV, lets issuers add another independent layer of approval. Each transfer can require verification from the CCV alongside Chainlink’s default committee of 16 node operators.
Chainlink has also added compliance controls through its Automated Compliance Engine. Institutions can enforce KYC rules, sanctions checks and transfer limits before funds move between chains.
CCIP 2.0 is officially live.

LINK Price Outlook: Will the Rally Continue?
The upgrade has helped momentum, but LINK is now running directly into resistance.
The weekly chart shows LINK testing the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement near $14.97, close to resistance formed in December and January.
A weekly close above $15 would be significant. It would turn that resistance into potential support and open the way toward the 0.5 Fibonacci level near $17.43, roughly 15% above current prices.
However, the chart is already showing some hesitation. LINK printed an upper wick near $15.78, suggesting sellers are active around this zone.
The Relative Strength Index is also approaching the overbought levels.
If LINK fails to hold above $15, the downside becomes much less attractive. The next major support sits near $11.92, around 22% lower.
For now, CCIP 2.0 has given LINK a strong catalyst. The chart still needs to confirm the move.
