Micron stock valuation is sitting about 33.8% above its fair value estimate right now, according to GuruFocus data released after the Micron 10-K filing on October 9, 2026. The Micron stock valuation gap comes from a GF Value of $768.96 against a $1,029 closing price. At the same time, the average one-year Micron stock price target stands at $1,555.13, and this keeps the Micron stock forecast split between record profits and a pricey share.

Micron Stock Valuation: AI Growth, Financial Strength, and Key Risks

What The Micron 10-K Filing Shows
The Micron 10-K filing covers the fiscal year that ended on September 3, 2026, and the numbers are huge. Revenue hit $133.2 billion, up from $37.4 billion a year earlier. Operating income also jumped to $99.3 billion from $9.8 billion in 2025, while gross margin reached $107.5 billion. These results matter a lot for the Micron stock valuation, since they explain why the shares ran so hard this year.
AI data center demand did most of the heavy lifting. Micron is ramping high-bandwidth memory (HBM) for AI chips, with HBM4E next in line, and it also launched its 1-gamma DRAM node built on EUV lithography. Chairman and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra stated:
“Micron delivered record fiscal 2026 results, and we expect an even stronger fiscal 2027.”
Why GuruFocus Sees A 33.8% Valuation Gap

Micron holds a GF Score of 93/100 right now, but that score only tells half of the Micron stock valuation story. Growth scores 10/10, Financial Strength and Profitability get 9/10 each, and Momentum sits at 6/10. The weak spot is valuation, at just 5/10, and that is exactly where the Micron stock valuation gap comes from. By GuruFocus’ math, the share price has run well ahead of what the business is really worth.
The rally explains a lot of it. At the time of writing, MU is up 260.53% year to date and 435.02% over the past year. Even so, the stock trades at a trailing P/E of only 13.84, with EPS of $74.33, so the stock valuation leans on real earnings and not just hype.
Micron Stock Price Target And Forecast

Wall Street reads the numbers very differently than GuruFocus. The $1,555.13 Micron stock price target points to about 51% upside from the $1,029 close, while the GF Value points to a sizable drop. That split is the main reason the Micron stock valuation debate keeps going right now.
The near-term MU stock forecast also looks strong on paper. Micron guided fiscal Q1 2027 revenue to $61.5 billion, plus or minus $1.5 billion, and management said it has already signed deals for most of its 2027 HBM supply. CFO Mark Murphy had this to say:
“Our inventory levels and supply remain extremely tight and we expect DIO to decline in the coming quarters.”
There are some risks to the Micron stock valuation, too. The Micron 10-K filing points out that memory chips move in cycles, and a demand slowdown could push prices lower fast. China’s Cyberspace Administration also barred critical infrastructure operators from buying Micron products back in May 2023. On top of that, insiders sold $373.9 million in shares over the past 12 months and bought only $7.8 million.

For now, the Micron stock valuation gap stays wide, and any valuation call will get its next real test with earnings, estimated for December 23, 2026. That report could move both the MU stock forecast and the stock price target. Micron also pays a $0.15 dividend, with an ex-date of October 14.
