GBPUSD has tested the resistance zone above several times, but profit-taking pressure has prevented a decisive breakout. However, unlike previous attempts, the latest pullback has remained relatively shallow and buying interest quickly returned.

What stands out is that price is consolidating just below resistance instead of being pushed significantly lower. This suggests that buyers still hold the short-term advantage and continue absorbing supply around the resistance zone. The more often this area is tested without a strong rejection, the greater the chance of a breakout.

If GBPUSD closes firmly above the current resistance zone, I expect the pair to extend its upward move toward 1.3498 in the short term. On the other hand, if price is rejected again from this area, it may return to test the support zone below before determining its next direction.
