SPY Puell Ribbon Idea. 1s, 2s and 3s of past Support MAs
SPY Puell Ribbon Idea. 1s, 2s and 3s of past Support MAs.
I'm experimenting with an Idea about Puell multiples of 2 and 3 of MAs that held previous support ... as well as Puell Multiples of Cherry picked back-tested MAs that worked well as sell signals, to see if they can possibly be used in the future to predict tops to sell ... as well as bottoms to buy at.
One note ... there were 43 years between the (likely) 1931 hard break of the 3900 day moving average and the 1974 hard breakdown of the same sort ... and there were 34 years between the 1974 hard break of it and the next hard break in 2008.
If we went another 25 years (9 years less than 34, like 34 was from 43), then the next hard break of the 3900 day MA could be sometime around 2033, which sounds similar to the 2031 major top and subsequent selloff that Luke Groman, (I think it was) was saying he expected "5 years from now" (said in July 2026, so meaning 2031) as well as "in the early 2030s" which would also match.
We'll just wait and see I guess, ... but this is pretty much just an experimental technique on the indices for now ... though I think it will work even better for individual stocks than for indexes.
"Puell Ribbon" I'll call it ... named after the puell multiple, but where you have multiple of them, to form the "selling ribbon" on the top, ... along with a "buying ribbon" made up of SMAs on the bottom.
