Liquidity Taken, What's Next? |XAUUSD 06/08
🌍 Market Overview
Gold has already achieved one of the market's most obvious objectives by sweeping the higher-timeframe Buy-Side Liquidity (BSL) resting above the previous highs. Rather than continuing its impulsive rally, price immediately met selling pressure, signaling that the liquidity objective has been fulfilled.
This rejection alone does not confirm a trend reversal. The rapid expansion left behind several Fair Value Gaps (FVGs) and inefficient price delivery, areas that institutions often revisit to rebalance order flow before revealing the market's next directional move.
For now, the focus is no longer on the highs—it is on how price behaves as it retraces into the H1 Points of Interest.
🔍 Current Market Picture
✅ External Buy-Side Liquidity has been cleared.
✅ Momentum is slowing after the impulsive expansion.
✅ An H1 Fair Value Gap remains unmitigated below current price.
✅ The Small Bullish Order Block is the next key institutional support.
✅ The broader H1 structure remains constructive while these demand areas continue to hold.
📈 My Bias
My bias remains cautiously bullish, but only after a healthy correction.
Instead of following price after an extended rally, I prefer allowing the market to retrace into its H1 imbalance. A correction into discount pricing would provide a more balanced environment for institutional participation than chasing price near premium levels.
🎯 Potential Scenario
Step 1: Price retraces into the H1 Fair Value Gap.
Step 2: Buyers defend the imbalance with a strong bullish displacement.
Step 3: A BOS or CHoCH confirms renewed bullish order flow.
Step 4: Price attempts another expansion toward the recent highs.
If the H1 Fair Value Gap fails to attract buyers and the Small Bullish Order Block is lost, the correction may extend toward the lower Order Block before the next meaningful reaction develops.

💡 Key Insight
The most important event has already happened—the market has removed external liquidity. The next opportunity is unlikely to come from chasing the breakout, but from observing how price responds when it returns to the imbalance created during the rally.
Patience around these H1 Points of Interest will provide more meaningful information than reacting to short-term volatility.
