HOW-TO: Set Up and Read the Kalshi BTC Target Mapper
Bitcoin all time history index INDEX:BTCUSD
HOW-TO OVERVIEW
The Kalshi BTC Target Mapper is a BTC-only, invite-only decision-support indicator for 15-minute ABOVE / BELOW price-to-beat contracts. It does not place orders, read your Kalshi account, or guarantee results. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Kalshi or TradingView.
1. ADD THE INDICATOR
Open the published script page:
After access is granted to your exact TradingView username, open Indicators, choose Invite-only scripts, and add Kalshi BTC Target Mapper.
2. USE THE CORRECT CHART
Open INDEX:BTCUSD, choose the 1-minute timeframe, and use standard candles.
This public HOW-TO uses a 15-minute chart to comply with TradingView's public-Idea timeframe requirement. The indicator itself is designed to operate on a standard 1-minute chart.
No Kalshi market ticker is required in the supported public release.
3. LOAD EACH NEW CONTRACT CORRECTLY
- Open the active 15-minute Kalshi BTC contract.
- Copy its exact price to beat. Do not use the current BTC chart price.
- Paste that number into Kalshi price to beat.
- If you hold nothing, set Current Kalshi position to FLAT / SCANNING and reset the position contract token to -1.
- After a real fill, choose ABOVE POSITION or BELOW POSITION.
- Enter the contract-close token in YYMMDDHHMM format using the dashboard timezone.
- Update the side and token together, recreate the alert, and then stop editing inputs while the position is open.
- After closing, return to FLAT / SCANNING and reset the token to -1.
4. READ ACTION NOW FIRST
Read the ACTION NOW row before every score or color.
- NO TRADE: stay flat.
- EARLY WATCH: watch only; this is not an entry.
- EARLY ENTRY ABOVE / BELOW: verify the live ask, spread, depth, fees, payout, and time remaining before deciding manually.
- HOLD: keep monitoring the tracked side and do not edit inputs.
- TAKE PROFIT: check the real executable bid and actual net result before cashing out.
- REVERSAL WATCH / EXIT WATCH: prepare to exit; do not flip sides.
- REDUCE / EXIT / HARD EXIT: reduce or close risk promptly using the best executable bid available.
- SETTLEMENT HOLD: hold only if you accept settlement risk and the contract, target, and side are still correct.
- FLIP SHADOW: take no flip action.
- DATA CAUTION / BLOCKED: do not open a new trade; verify feeds, target, chart, and current market conditions.
The dashboard's internal score is an index, not a guaranteed probability.
5. CREATE AND MAINTAIN ALERTS
Finish the target, position side, and contract-token settings first. Then create an alert for Kalshi BTC Target Mapper using Any alert() function call.
Delete and recreate the alert after changing the target, position side, contract token, or any other indicator input. TradingView alerts keep the script and settings captured when they were created.
6. VERIFY THE LIVE CONTRACT BEFORE ACTING
The indicator cannot see the Kalshi order book, your fill, your quantity, your fees, or the executable bid and ask. Check those items directly before every entry, cash-out, or settlement decision.
The dashboard's profit figure tracks a virtual model lifecycle. It is not your account profit.
7. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
The indicator combines several TradingView BTC/USD feeds as a broad market proxy. It does not reproduce a licensed settlement index, guarantee the final settlement value, confirm fills, or manage an account. Historical bars also cannot reproduce every real-time intrabar transition.
Every action remains the user's decision and risk.
