XAUUSD Outlook - Gold in ascending channel
Gold continues to trade within a healthy ascending channel, with buyers maintaining firm control throughout the recent advance.
According to M.I. Quant XAUUSD, the 1-hour statistical model remains decisively bullish. All monitored timeframes below the Weekly continue to support the upside, while the 1H Flip Level remains below the current market price. As long as price holds above that level, the short-term trend remains under bullish control. A move below it would likely initiate a consolidation phase rather than invalidate the broader trend.
From a Daily chart perspective, however, the technical picture is more nuanced.
The 100-day and 200-day EMAs remain positioned above price and continue to act as major resistance. Although the 50-day EMA is rising, it is still well below both the 100-day and 200-day EMAs. At this stage, it is too early to speak about a fully developed bullish moving average structure or long-term dynamic support (Like seen in September 2025).
This creates an interesting divergence:
The 1-hour statistical model suggests buyers remain in control.
The Daily moving average structure has not yet fully confirmed that bullish outlook.
Even so, markets rarely wait for perfect technical alignment. If buying pressure remains strong and macroeconomic conditions continue to support Gold, price can continue advancing while the moving averages gradually rotate higher. In that case, the Daily EMA structure would be confirming the rally rather than leading it.
M.I. Quant Assessment
🟢 1H Statistical Model: Bullish momentum remains intact.
🟢 1H Flip Level: Still below price, preserving the current trend.
🟢 Ascending channel: Buyers continue to defend higher lows.
🟡 Daily EMA Structure: The 50-day EMA is improving but remains well below the 100-day and 200-day EMAs.
🟡 Daily Resistance: The 100-day and 200-day EMAs remain significant barriers that buyers still need to overcome.
Bottom Line
The short-term statistical outlook remains bullish, but the longer-term Daily trend has not yet fully validated the move. If buyers continue absorbing resistance, the Daily moving averages should gradually realign and reinforce the uptrend. Until then, the market remains constructive, though the longer-term technical confirmation is still developing.
