After a series of strong bullish candles, XAUUSD is beginning to slow as it approaches a short-term resistance zone. The fact that price has not been able to extend higher immediately suggests that buyers are starting to take profits after the sharp rally.

At this stage, I favor a technical correction rather than expecting price to continue rising in a straight line. The 4,230 area (TP1) is the first level to watch. If selling pressure increases, the correction could extend toward the 4,170–4,180 demand zone (TP2), where horizontal support may attract buyers again.

However, this should still be viewed as a correction within the current bullish trend. The short-term bullish structure would only weaken significantly if the demand zone is broken decisively, at which point the outlook for further upside would need to be reassessed.
