Super data week. Sell at 4100 first.
Gold prices opened sharply higher on Monday in Asian trading after Trump announced a pause in attacks on Iran over the weekend. Last week's close was around 4043.6, and the price immediately surged to around 4083 before trending downwards.
The 4090-4100 level remains a key resistance level to watch. Technically, the Bollinger Bands are narrowing, and the moving average system is relatively flat, indicating the market is awaiting guidance from this week's major data releases.
On the 4-hour chart, resistance remains strong. We watch the 4090-4100 level for resistance and the 4020-4000 level for short-term support. If resistance holds, consider shorting in batches at higher levels, targeting 4000.
Wishing you all a successful week of trading.
