NEAR Correction Before Lift-Off?
NEAR has produced a technical bounce from the macro 0.618 Fibonacci retracement, a level that often attracts buyers during larger market corrections.
While the initial reaction has been encouraging, the recovery lacks one key ingredient: volume. Without strong buying participation, the current rally appears vulnerable to another corrective move before a sustainable uptrend can develop.
Low-volume rebounds typically suggest that buyers are not yet fully committed, increasing the probability that sellers could regain short-term control. From a technical perspective, this keeps the focus on the next major support around the $1.45 level. A pullback into this region would not necessarily be bearish. Instead, it could provide the market with an opportunity to establish a stronger base before attempting another move higher.
If NEAR successfully retests the $1.45 support and buyers step in once again, the outlook becomes considerably more constructive. Holding this level would strengthen the probability of a bullish rotational move back above the $1.80 resistance, with potential for further upside if momentum continues to build.
For now, traders should be prepared for additional short-term weakness rather than chasing the current bounce. A healthy correction into support could create the foundation for the next impulsive rally.
Until stronger volume returns, the higher-probability scenario remains a corrective move first, followed by a potential continuation of the broader bullish trend.
