H1 Bullish BOS Retest Setup
XAUUSD is trading around 4,261 aft
er breaking the previous swing high and confirming a strong bullish BOS. Price is now approaching the 4,285–4,300 premium supply zone, where short-term profit-taking may appear.
Gold remains supported by a softer U.S. dollar, lower Treasury yields and optimism around renewed Middle East diplomacy. Attention now shifts to the July U.S. employment report on August 7, which may reshape expectations for the next Federal Reserve move.
Technical View
The H1 structure is firmly bullish following the breakout above the internal bearish trendline and previous swing high around 4,115–4,125.
Price is currently extended after a sharp displacement, making a controlled pullback more attractive than chasing the rally. The 4,215–4,235 area is the main intraday support and the preferred zone for a higher-low formation.
Below it, the 4,155–4,175 demand FVG is the deeper support. Holding above this area would preserve the broader bullish structure.
The first resistance is the 4,285–4,300 premium supply zone. Acceptance above 4,300 would open the path toward 4,320 and the major liquidity target around 4,370–4,385.
Key Zones
Current price: 4,260.615
Buy Priority: 4,215–4,235
Demand FVG: 4,155–4,175
Premium supply: 4,285–4,300
Intermediate target: 4,320
Major liquidity target: 4,370–4,385
Bullish invalidation: below 4,155
Trading Plan
Buy Priority: 4,215–4,235
Condition: wait for an H1 pullback into intraday support, followed by bullish rejection, a liquidity-sweep reclaim or higher-low confirmation.
SL: below 4,155
TP1: 4,285–4,300
TP2: 4,320
TP3: 4,370–4,385
Important Note
Avoid chasing price directly into premium supply. The 4,285–4,300 zone may trigger a sharp reaction before continuation.
A deeper retracement into 4,155–4,175 would remain constructive if buyers reclaim the demand FVG. An H1 close below 4,155 would weaken the immediate bullish setup.
Final View
Gold remains bullish after the H1 BOS. The cleaner plan is to wait for a controlled pullback into 4,215–4,235 before targeting 4,300, 4,320 and the higher liquidity zone near 4,380.
Will gold defend intraday support before the next bullish expansion?
