XAU/USD has entered a healthy consolidation phase just below a key resistance area. Price is currently holding above the rising trendline, indicating that buyers remain in control despite short-term profit-taking. As long as the market continues to defend the 4300–4275 support zone, the overall bullish structure remains intact.

The recent rally has been supported by continued safe-haven demand, expectations surrounding future Federal Reserve policy, and a softer U.S. Dollar. However, today's U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) report is expected to be the biggest catalyst for the next major move.

A weaker-than-expected NFP reading could increase expectations for future rate cuts, weakening the U.S. Dollar and giving gold enough momentum to break above resistance. On the other hand, stronger employment data could trigger a temporary pullback as Treasury yields and the Dollar strengthen.

Technically, gold is building liquidity inside the current consolidation range. A retest of the 4275–4250 demand zone would be considered healthy if buyers quickly step back into the market.
