AMD Earnings could decide the next big move.
The
AMD
chart looks kinda good right now. After a sharp recovery from the recent lows, buyers managed to reclaim the $480-$500 area, but now the price is pressing directly into a major resistance zone around $505-$510. This area has already rejected the price multiple times, so I don't think it's a level to ignore.
What I like is that momentum has clearly improved. The recovery happened with strong buying pressure, the RSI is pushing higher, and price has climbed back above several short-term moving averages. That tells me bulls are finally showing confidence again instead of simply reacting to oversold conditions.
Aside from that, the earnings report of AMD will come out today after the market closes. AMD's Advancing AI Conference is expected to showcase the company's latest progress in AI hardware and software, offering insights into its strategy for competing in the rapidly evolving AI market. And if this earnings report beat the expectation, then we could see a massive pump. However, if it fails, then we could see the opposite.
So there are two realistic scenarios am predicting:
📈 Bullish Scenario: If buyers manage to break above the $510 resistance with strong volume and hold that breakout, it would confirm that demand is overwhelming sellers. In that case, the next upside target sits around $530-$535, which aligns with the upper resistance marked on the chart.
A successful breakout would also create a higher high on the 4H timeframe, strengthening the current uptrend and potentially attracting additional momentum traders.
📉 Bearish Scenario: If RAMD fails to reclaim the resistance zone, history suggests another rejection is possible.
The first area I'd monitor would be the $480-$485 support, where buyers recently defended price. Losing that level could trigger a deeper correction toward the stronger demand area around $425-$430, which has already proven itself as a major buying zone.
One thing I particularly like is that price has recovered from the lower Bollinger Band and is now pushing toward the upper half of the range. That often signals improving momentum, but momentum alone isn't enough. Bulls still need confirmation through a clean breakout.
For this reason, I am currently keeping an eye on rAMD. One reason I'm watching rAMD on Bitget is the flexibility around earnings. Traditional stock trading slows down once the closing bell rings, but earnings reactions often happen immediately.
With rToken, I can continue trading while the news is still fresh instead of waiting until the next regular session.
Besides that, if the breakout holds, I'll also consider maximizing the trade:
✔️ Hold rAMD
✔️ Pledge it as collateral.
✔️ Borrow USDT
✔️ Increase my position while momentum is still strong.
But for now, patience is probably the best strategy. Instead of chasing candles into resistance, I'd rather wait for one of two confirmations:
✅ A convincing breakout above $510 with strong buying volume.
or
✅ A healthy pullback into support that shows buyers are still defending higher prices.
The next few candles around this resistance zone should reveal which side has stronger conviction.

I'll be watching how price reacts over the next few candles before deciding which side has the stronger conviction.
