**DXY Weekly Outlook | August 10–14, 2026**
The NFP release pushed the **DXY sharply lower on Friday**.
Price slightly touched last week’s low, but for me, this does **not qualify as a clear liquidity sweep**. Therefore, I can still see a scenario where the market takes out **Friday’s low again on Monday** before showing its real intention.
Looking at the last two weeks, the DXY is currently trading in a **Discount area** of the recent range.
This makes a retracement into the liquidity above particularly interesting.
There are several areas I will be watching:
• **Buyside liquidity** below the equilibrium of the current short-term trend
• **0.618 Fibonacci level**, where an **H1 FVG** is located
• **OTE / sweep area around 0.705**, also aligned with an **H1 FVG**
These areas represent **Premium zones** within the current short-term structure and could act as potential liquidity targets if the market retraces higher.
My scenario for next week:
**Liquidity first. Direction second.**
I am therefore entering the week with a **bullish bias on the DXY**.
However, the bias is only a framework. I will wait for price action to confirm the idea through liquidity, market structure and displacement.
**No raid, no trade.**
Let's see what the market gives us.
