AMD: Is Earnings About to Deliver the Final Liquidity Run?
AMD is set to report earnings after tomorrow's market close, and as always, volatility is expected. While many traders will focus on whether the company beats or misses expectations, my attention remains on where liquidity sits and how price delivers into those areas.
At the time of writing, AMD is trading around $473. Based on the current 2 hour market structure, I believe there is still room for one final bullish push before the market searches for lower liquidity.
Current Market Structure
Despite the recent selling pressure, price continues to respect the short-term structure on the 2H timeframe.
Rather than expecting an immediate breakdown, I am watching for a retracement into the $482 region. This area represents the next premium pricing zone where price could complete a final liquidity run before a larger bearish expansion.
My Pre-Earnings Expectation
The path I am monitoring is:
Current Price → Rally toward $482 → Rejection
I am not looking to chase the upside. Instead, I want to see how price behaves once it reaches this key area.
If bearish displacement follows the move into $482, it would strengthen the case for a downside continuation.
After Earnings
Earnings frequently create enough volatility to complete liquidity objectives on both sides of the market.
Whether AMD initially spikes higher or lower, I will be paying close attention to how price reacts around the $482 level.
If sellers regain control after that move, my downside roadmap remains unchanged.
First Downside Objective: $393
The $393 region is my first major target. This level aligns with previous market structure and represents a logical draw on liquidity if bearish momentum develops.
Second Downside Objective: $369
Should the bearish move continue and market structure remain intact, I believe the next significant objective is the $369 demand zone.
Current roadmap:
Pre-earnings: Potential rally toward $482
Around earnings: Watch for liquidity to be taken and monitor price reaction
If bearish confirmation develops: First target $393
Extended downside objective: $369
The earnings announcement may provide the volatility, but price action will determine whether this bearish roadmap unfolds.
